The economic crisis in Sri Lanka- All the Private Buses will be out of service

The Private Bus Owners’ Association states that the operation of private buses is facing a serious problem due to the shortage of fuel.

Accordingly, all private buses will have to be taken out of service within the next two days, said the President of the Association Gemunu Wijeratne.

“The diesel crisis has seriously affected private buses. We have a problem with when diesel will arrive. So we make it clear that we do not expect to meet in the next two or three days. However, by Monday we will have to stop all buses. Because we need diesel to run buses. We cannot run buses on the water without diesel. The supply of diesel from SLTB  has been neglected. I was informed that there were plans to hold protests, especially at certain bus stops. ”
