The service providers have informed the Ministry of Technology that local telephone and internet tariffs will have to be increased.

 They point out that the rise in the value of the US dollar has led to an increase in related services.

International telephone tariffs have already been hiked, and they have called for a significant increase in domestic call and internet tariffs in the future.
