A fire in a forest reserve near the Keselgamu Oya, which is the main source of water for Castlereagh Reservoir, has destroyed about two acres. The fire had destroyed a reserve in the wet zone of Chapelton Estate in the Bogawantalawa Police Division. The fire broke out at around 5 pm on the 15th and lasted till around 7 pm. Fatal accident in Ampara that killed three

Son-in-law strangles farther in law at wedding
A man was strangled to death over a family dispute at a wedding party. It was in Tissamaharama, Virahela area.
