Caroline Jury, Pushpika de Silva and Chula to the Conciliation Board

Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika C. Wijewardena has summoned Miss World Caroline Jury, Miss Sri Lanka Bride Pushpika de Silva and model Chula Padmendran to appear before the Mediation Board.

Caroline Jury and Chula Padmendran have been accused of forcibly removing the crown on the head of Pushpika de Silva, who wore the crown at the 2020 Mrs Sri Lanka beauty pageant and inflicting minor injuries on her head, as well as criminal intimidation.

Police had earlier reported in court that state property is worth Rs. 700,000 had been damaged in the incident.

Cinnamon Gardens Police have filed charges against Caroline Jury and Chula Padmendran for criminal intimidation by dropping the charge under the Public Property Act as the organizers of the Mrs Sri Lanka beauty pageant have now covered the loss.
