The Ceylon Electricity Board says that there will be power outages in some parts of the island today as well.
The CEB says that the power outage could be due to difficulties in meeting the daily requirement or power outages.
Meanwhile, power supply to several areas including Colombo was disrupted on several occasions last night.
The power supply was disrupted due to a breakdown at a generator at the Kelanitissa power plant.
