Sri Lanka People’s Front MP Anura Priyadarshana Yapa says that it is not known who is running the current government’s economy.

He said that a country could not move forward in this manner and that government leaders and officials were making false statements to the country.

He said that even though it was said that so many dollars would come in at the end of a month, everyone knew that it would not happen.

He also states that the country can move forward only if the people are told the truth. He says it is problematic to end a session of parliament when there is a peaceful atmosphere, adding that in parliamentary democracy there is an extraordinary situation.
