New Zealand Parliament Minister went to hospital on a bicycle to give birth to her baby

New Zealand MP Julie Ann Genter has given birth to a healthy baby girl after riding on a  bicycle to the hospital despite being in labour. On Sunday morning, Julie was rushed to the hospital on an electric bicycle for giving birth to her baby. The baby was delivered with the help of doctors.

Julie shared her experience on social media while posting many pictures of the baby’s birth. ‘Great news! Today at 3.04 we welcomed the newest member of the family. I had no intention of cycling during labour pains. But it did happen. ‘

Julie wrote that she was not in so much pain when she tried to go to the hospital at first but as the pain increased later and they were 10 minutes late to the hospital.

Julie thanked the hospital staff for the comfortable delivery. Julie Ann Genter is also known as ‘Green MP’. She remains in the headlines because she campaigns for the environment. Julie holds dual citizenship in the United States and New Zealand. She was born in Minnesota, USA but moved to New Zealand in 2006. According to the New Zealand media, in July 2018, she similarly went to the hospital and gave birth to her first child.
