A person released from death sentences at the Last minute

Julius Jones is a special prisoner in American history. He was due to be given a lethal injection a few hours earlier and sentenced to death.

But he got a chance to live in a way no one expected. Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Steff has intervened to commute Julius Jones’ death sentence to life in prison.

But he will not get a chance to get out of jail. Thousands of locals and students marched in the city recently demanding that the death sentence not be carried out on Julius Jones.

 He was sentenced to death in 2002 for manslaughter in a 1999 car hijacking case. But Jones says he’s not involved.
