British police have arrested three people under the Prevention of Terrorism Act after one person was killed in a car bomb blast near a hospital yesterday (14).
The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a Liverpool women’s hospital. A taxi pulled up on the road for a two-minute silence to commemorate the war heroes and shortly after it exploded.
The deceased has been identified as the occupant of the vehicle, police said. The driver of the car was also hospitalized with injuries and his condition was reported to be not serious. Investigators have arrested three youths aged 29, 26 and 21 following the blast.
