Rebels prepare to seize Ethiopian capital

The Ethiopian government has called on ex-soldiers to rejoin the army. According to foreign reports, the Tigris have been asked to rejoin the army to fight the rebels.

Insurgents are reportedly heading for Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. The U.S. embassy has warned U.S. citizens to leave the country immediately due to the security situation.

However, foreign sources said that Prime Minister Abi Ahmed had formed alliances with nine anti-government organizations within hours to deal with the situation.
