Fully vaccinated Australian citizens received Permission to travel abroad

Fully vaccinated Australian citizens and permanent residents are allowed to travel abroad without special permission. Accordingly, the relevant relaxations will be effective from the 1st of next month. Due to the Corona expansion, Australian citizens were not allowed to travel abroad for more than 18 months without special release.

The risk faced by non-vaccinated people at home?

 Scientists in Britain have confirmed that people who have received both doses of the covid vaccine can transmit the covid virus to other people living with them. The scientists said that even people who received both doses of the vaccine were more likely to be infected. Thus, non-vaccinated household members have a 38 per cent chance of transmitting the virus to those who have been vaccinated. Researchers also say that cats need to be included in any precautionary measures against the virus.

The world’s first stamp is worth $ 8 million

The world’s first stamp is up for auction. It is expected to sell for more than US $ 8 million. The world’s first postage stamp, ‘Penny Black’, will be auctioned off, according to Sodabis Auctioneers. The stamp, believed to have been issued in 1840, bears the image of Queen Victoria. It was issued with the value of a penny. The stamp was valid for mailing letters less than half an ounce. It has been in use since May 6, 1840. Before that, the postage was paid for by the recipient. The stamp will be auctioned in London on December 7. The auction house expects it to fetch $ 8.25 million. According to foreign sources, this is the first ‘Penny Black’ stamp paper ever printed. Therefore, the foreign media points out that it is also a historical symbol. The current owner of this stamp is Alan Holyoke, a businessman and stamp collector. Two other ‘Penny Black’ stamps, first printed, are now in the British Postal Museum. It is believed that only three of these ‘Penny Black’ stamps, which were obtained from the world’s first printed stamp paper, are still left in the world.

Global covid deaths exceed 5 million

 The number of global covid 19 related deaths has exceeded 5 million. That number stands at 5,000,106. That’s up from 4,141 deaths worldwide in the past 24 hours.

The General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero states that he is working to the best of his ability with the new position. He said that he would first discuss with the appointees to this commission and hoped to do the job to the fullest.  He said that these posts should be studied and a detailed statement will be made in the future in consultation with the groups appointed to the post. He was responding to a query regarding the appointment of him as the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on One Country One Law.

US Ambassador meets President

  US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Ms Alina B. Teplitz has met with President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. The President appreciated Ms. Alina’s support for enhancing cooperation between the two countries, the Presidential Media Unit said. The President also expressed his gratitude to the US Government for its assistance to Sri Lanka in the process of vaccination and supply of medical equipment to control the covid epidemic. It is reported that the Ambassador expressed her satisfaction over the progress made by Sri Lanka in the vaccination and anti-covid process and thanked the President and the Government for their support in facilitating their duties.

An easy win for Australia

Australia beat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the Super 12 round match of the Twenty20 World Cup. Australia were bowled out for 155 in 17 overs with just three wickets in hand. Kusal Perera and Charith Asalanka scored 35 runs each. Adam Sampa took 2 wickets for 12 runs.

China releases diesel on a ration basis

Due to rising prices and supply problems, diesel is being issued on a ration basis in many parts of China, according to international media reports. Chinese social media reported that some truck drivers had to wait about a day to get diesel. Currently, there is a severe power crisis in China. In particular, the supply of natural gas and coal has been disrupted. As a result, a large number of factories have been closed and the supply of electricity to homes has been disrupted.

Shahrukh Khan’s son released on bail
