oil at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery will be depleted only for few weeks

The Petroleum Trade Unions say that the oil at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery will be depleted only until November 11.

The fuel tanker is scheduled to return on December 14. The unions say there is a fuel crisis and it will become clear in the coming days.

Bandula Saman Kumara, President of the Petroleum Branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says that no matter how much they try to keep this information secret, it can only be done for a few more days.

He points out that the Sapugaskanda refinery has slowed down due to the shortage of crude oil in the next few days. However, the chairman of the corporation states that a fuel tanker arrived in the country yesterday.

He said that there was no fuel crisis in the country at the moment and that consumption had increased in the past few days as more consumers were consuming fuel.
