Sri Lanka People’s Front MP Dilan Perera has met with an accident yesterday. He had fallen while traveling on a wooden bridge connecting Uva Paranagama and Haliela.
The old wooden bridge is in a dilapidated condition and the collapse occurred when it went for inspection. He fell to the ground on the bridge after stepping on a broken piece of wood on the bridge.
However, it is reported that the MP did not fall into the river from the bridge and he was not injured.
