Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and representatives of the Teachers ‘Principals’ Association held a discussion at Temple Trees yesterday regarding the teacher-principal protests.
A picture of the Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union Joseph Stalin and the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa having a close discussion,was circulated on social media.
The conversation between the two was revealed by Wasantha Handapangoda, Chairperson of the Ceylon Public Education Services Association, at a program on Derana Rupavahini.
He went and told the Prime Minister, Sir, I am Joseph Stalin. I was told that i had recommended Rs.850 million. Sir, find out about it. Then the Prime Minister put his hand on his back and said let’s build a safe and put it in. That is the dialogue that is going on there ”
