It is reported that the Central Bank is preparing to provide relief to Sri Lankans living abroad in bringing a vehicle to Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, discussions are underway to allow Sri Lankans living abroad to pay the relevant taxes in dollars when importing a vehicle into the country.

Sri Lanka People’s Front (SLPP) Colombo District Parliamentarian Premanath Dolawatta said that the Central Bank of Sri Lanka had agreed to a proposal made by him.

He said that after the implementation of this program, vehicle prices in the country will come down and the country’s dollar problem will also be solved.
