A long-running dispute within the TNA has come to light following a letter written to Geneva

As a result of the signing of a letter sent to the Human Rights Council in Geneva, the crisis within the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has escalated.

Sumanthiran had not been invited to the discussion held in Colombo on the 29th under the patronage of Sampanthan.

The long-running dispute within the TNA has come to light following a letter written by allies to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on issues including the accountability of Sri Lanka.

As a result, several TNA parliamentarians began to publicly accuse Sumanthiran, and the TNA commented on the letter sent to Geneva.

However, Sumanthiran had not been invited to the discussion held at Sampanthan’s residence in Colombo to discuss the crisis and the TNA’s next decisions.
