A child has been shot dead in the Weeraketiya area. A 14-year-old boy, a resident of Wekanda, has died, police said. Four people have been arrested in connection with the shooting. Police is conducting further investigation on the case.

A woman was arrested yesterday (19) on suspicion of killing her husband during a marital dispute at a house in the Pumbuhar area in Jaffna, Jaffna Police said.
