MP Geetha Kumarasinghe said that opening liquor stores is like appointing a scientific cabinet.

She also said that a tank that had been collecting water little by little in the hope of a rich harvest had been emptied at once and the harvest had been deserted.

She said she would like to know who is making these stupid decisions and that she will not be able to go to the village as a Member of Parliament due to such activities.

She said this while she was speaking at a media briefing in Bentota.
