The ban on the import of vehicles could be removed by considering the inflow of foreign exchange- Ajith Nivard Cabraal

The Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal has stated that the ban on the import of vehicles could be removed by considering the inflow of foreign exchange into the country.

He hoped that not only the import of vehicles but also the current restrictions on imports would be able to balance foreign exchange earnings in the future.

He said these while he was addressing a conference organized by the International Chamber of Commerce online.
