Vaccination for children started in two more districts

 Vaccination of children between the ages of 12 and 19 with complications under the school children vaccination program is scheduled to commence tomorrow (24). The Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella stated that the first child vaccination program will be launched at the Lady Ridgeway Children ‘s Hospital in Colombo. A Sunrisers Hyderabad player in IPL has diagnosed with corona

A Sunrisers Hyderabad player has reportedly been placed under self-quarantine after being diagnosed with covid infection. During an RT-PCR test in Dubai, left-arm fast bowler T.J. Natarajan was diagnosed with an infection and showed no symptoms. All-rounder Vijay Shankar and several staff members of the team, who were identified as his close associates, have also been placed under quarantine.

Brazilian Health Minister attending UN General Assembly has been infected with corona

Brazilian Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga has been infected with the covid-19 virus. Foreign media reported that he had been diagnosed with the disease while attending a UN General Assembly session. The Brazilian health minister is said to have met with Brazilian President Jr Bolzoni about 19 hours before he was diagnosed with the disease. Brazilian Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga, who has been infected with Covid-19, is currently under quarantine and reportedly wore a face mask every time he attended the session. Marcelo Queiroga is the second person from the Brazilian delegation to the UN General Assembly to attend the UN General Assembly.  A Brazilian diplomat who had previously attended the General Assembly session was also diagnosed with Covid-19 infection.

GASTEC is the world’s largest exhibition and conference supporting the gas, liquefied natural gas, hydrogen and energy industries. Udaya Gammanpila, Minister of Energy of Sri Lanka joined the Ministers of Energy of Nigeria, Bangladesh, Portugal and Azerbaijan at the GASTEC Summit under the theme “Hydrogen is the Energy Source of the Future World”. The GASTEC Summit will also serve as a global platform for formulating policies for zero carbon offsets in the world by 2050.

The daily loss of Litro gas is 800 lakhs the price should be increased – Litro Chairman

Litro Gas Company Chairman Thushara Jayasinghe says that the company is losing around Rs. 80 million a day by supplying gas at current prices. He added that if this continues, Litro will also have to apply for a loan. He also said that the company had spent Rs. 10 billion in reserves this year alone by releasing gas to the market at a loss. He added that there had been no response to the long-standing demand for an increase in gas prices to keep the company afloat. The chairman said that the current prices in the world market are $ 368 per metric tonne of gas. But today, a metric ton of gas in the world market has risen to $ 665 and is expected to rise to $ 740 next month, he added.

Minister of Justice apologizes to threatened Anuradhapura prisoners

Justice Minister Ali Sabri has apologized to prisoners at the Anuradhapura prison for allegedly being threatened by Minister of State Lohan Ratwatte. He told parliament yesterday that the government was taking steps to investigate allegations leveled against Minister of State Lohan Ratwatte in Welikada and Anuradhapura prisons.
