Udaya Gammanpila, Minister of Energy states that there is no fuel shortage in the country today.
At present there are enough stocks of diesel for 22 days and petrol for 18 days in the country, he said.

He said that Sri Lanka today has a dollar problem and not a fuel problem, adding that despite the dollar shortage, efforts are being made to avoid a fuel shortage by giving priority to petroleum.
