Prof. Ranjith Bandara, Member of Parliament for the Sri Lanka People’s Front says that Basil Rajapaksa not only created the People’s Front but was also a huge figure behind the massive development activities in the country.

Therefore, if Basil Rajapaksa was in the country regarding the increase in fuel prices, people would have believed that he would have been allowed to think twice about it, he said.

The people have high hopes for Basil Rajapaksa until he returns to the country and reducing fuel prices is one of those expectations, he said.

He said these while he was speaking to the media attending a meeting of the covid Committee in the Udunuwara electorate.
