The government doesn’t have any right to privatise the property

Ven. Elle Gunawansa Thero states that President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is surrounded today by Bornagainers, Pathfinders and people who think in English and wear tie coats. “This is the disaster, We are sad about Mr Gotabhaya,” he further added.

He pointed out that a company had been set up to privatize government lands and buildings and would not allow anyone to sell them. He also requested that the country’s property be treated as collective property.

He further explained that the present government has not received any mandate to privatize state lands while addressing a media briefing at his temple.
