More space will be provided for low-income and middle-class people with ongoing housing projects- Prime Minister

The National Housing Development Authority has instructed to pay special attention to providing housing to a large number of low-income and middle-class people by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. He had noted these during a discussion with officials of the National Housing Development Authority at Temple Trees yesterday (May 11) afternoon, the Prime Minister’s Office said. The Prime Minister had focused on the proposed housing projects for low income and middle-class people as well as ongoing projects and instructed the officials of the National Housing Development Authority to take necessary steps to complete these projects without any delay.

A new set of guidelines imposed for foreign visitors-the14 days quarantine is a mandatory

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) says that despite the statistics on the spread of corona virus in Sri Lanka, the country is currently heading towards the worst possible situation in India. Dr. Prasad Colombage, a member of the executive committee of the association says that the government is once again being urged not to simply ignore the current situation. He added that this was not a simple event like the first wave but a very dangerous wave and there was a tendency for a serious increase in the number of patients in the coming days and that urgent action should be taken to address the possible difficulties.
