Today, the country is on the brink of a corona bomb, says Dr Mayura Devolage, a specialist at the Colombo East Base Hospital.
He says that pregnant mothers are in very serious danger and if all pregnant mothers get corona, 500 of them will die.
Therefore, pregnant mothers should be given the corona vaccine as soon as possible and the country’s health sector should be prepared for that, he said.
He says that at present there is no database and methodology for doctors and the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health in Sri Lanka can be named as one of the most inefficient institutions in the world. He made these comments in an interview with a youtube channel.
