Divisional secretaries in the Puttalam district have refused to receive the corona vaccine.

Although the health department is preparing to give the vaccine on the 25th, they have stated that they cannot get the vaccine without giving the vaccine to other employees including the Grama Niladharis who work with them.

All 16 Divisional Secretaries in the Puttalam District have stated that they will not be vaccinated until all members of the group have been vaccinated.

They further pointed out that it is suspected that the Divisional Secretaries may have been vaccinated with the intention of creating a conflict between the Divisional Secretary and other officials.
