The rapid spread of corona in Sri Lanka can be stopped only if the whole country is closed for fourteen consecutive days, Former Minister, Virology Prof. Tissa Vitarana said.

He said the situation could not be controlled without doing accordingly and closing the country for just two or three days would not be effective.

He also explains why medical experts say the country should be closed for fourteen days.

He said the country was in a dire situation and the country was moving towards disaster and warns that thousands could die if the situation is not brought under control at this time.
