President visit to inspects covid Treatment Center built by Army
President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa inspected the Seeduwa covid Intermediate Treatment Center yesterday (May 18) afternoon. This treatment centre consisting of 03 wards has a capacity of 1200 patients. Farmers in long queues for fertilisers

One million corona infections will be reported in Sri Lanka in 100 days – Ministry of Health predicts
The ministry warns that more than a million cases of corona infection could be reported in the country within 100 days, Dr. Hemantha Herath, Deputy Director-General of Health Services, Media Spokesman, Ministry of Health, said. If a corona infected person transmits the disease to five other people, the number of patients will double every five days. Accordingly, if the number of patients doubles 20 times, the number of infected people in the country will exceed one million within 100 days, he said.
