Department of Meteorology states that a few Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Central Western and North-western and South province after 1 pm( Nuwara-Eliya, Matale, Polonnaruwa ,Hambantota,Galle, Matara and Kandy )
The rain can be fairly heavy and expected to 50 mm rain. Also there can be rain in some areas like Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Western provinces during the morning.
The department is requesting general public to minimize the damages caused by temporary wind blows, lightning and thundershowers.
