Former NFL player Phillip Adams identified as South Carolina shooting suspect

Authorities in South Carolina police have identified the former NFL player Phillip Adams as the suspect shooting and killing five people. Dr Robert Lesslie who is 70 years old and his wife Barbara Lesslie was at the age of 69 at that time. Also their grandchildren Adah Lesslie 9 years old and 5 years old Noah Lesslie killed along with them. Apart from that there house worker James Lewis was killed at the age 38. The reason behind the shooting was yet not founded. The family lived in their home in Rock Hill, South Carolina, 30 miles (48km) from Charlotte, North Carolina and Sheriff officials guarding the home now. The shooting happened after President Joe Biden announced new gun control measures and the suspect was killed himself after a standoff with police. But “Mr Biden was already scheduled to announce new gun restrictions on Thursday. He paid tribute to the victims during his address at the White House Rose Garden.” BBC

More than 80 people were killed in military crackdown in Bago Myanmar

Protests have been going on in Bago, as well asin other cities in Myanmar for more than two months. It is reported that more than 80 people have been killed by security forces in a crackdown on a protest in the city of Bago, Myanmar. Also the military is reported that they have taken away the bodies of killed ones and the true number of deaths may never be released to the media. Local media stated that “soldiers had used heavy weapons and had shot at anything that moved.” More than 600 people have been killed since the protests started in Myanmar.

Minister Bandula demanded Rs 500 million for defaming Sathosa relief pack

The Police Headquarters has issued a special circular to all Police stations to prevent the spread of the corona virus which is increasing day by day in the country. Police say the public as well as the authorities are not following proper health advice. Due to this, special operations will be launched under the circular from today, said Police Media Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana. DIG Ajith Rohana said that police will inspect shops, public transport and other locations and for people were found not wearing face masks or maintaining social distancing.

His recorded time was 28 hours, 19 minutes and 43 seconds and distance was 59 kilometers 300 meters.He was back to Sri Lanka yesterday. He is 32 years old and join to Sri Lanka Air Force in the year 2008. he has the Sri Lankan National Swimming record of 49km in 23hrs on 26 March 2021.

Unhealthy carcinogenic coconut oil has been found in the market so far; Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Minister of State for Consumer Protection said. The 109 samples of coconut oil obtained from all districts did not contain any chemicals harmful to the human body; Minister further said. Therefore, the Minister of State instructs the people to consume the coconut oil available in the market without any fear.

Alibaba got huge fine for abusing its dominant market position

China’s Alibaba ,the world’s biggest online retailer had received a record fine of $2.75bn.According to the regulators in China the company had abused its dominant position in market for several years. Also, the analysts says, the fine shows “China intends to move against internet platforms that it thinks are too big.” BBC The company act as the China’s Amazon meets eBay, and even the retailing is its main activity but now its work has spread to digital payments, credit and cloud computing.Also the fine amounts of Alibaba’s revenue in 2019 is identified as 4%. But the regulators complain Alibaba restricted competition by stopping some sellers using other platforms and its the misusing of market. This is included to anti-monopoly case for now by the market; experts says. Not only the Alibaba country’s other tech giants also facing pressure from regulators worried about their growing influence. Those companies include Tencent, Baidu, Didi Chuxing, SoftBank and a ByteDance-backed firm and fined over violating anti-monopoly rules.
