Do Chinese agents buy British MPs?

M15, Britain’s security intelligence agency, has accused a Chinese agent of influencing Britain’s parliamentary affairs. But China denies the allegations.

M15 says a woman named Christine Chin Qiu Lee has formed relationships with current members of parliament and people hoping to go to parliament on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party.

She has since given financial aid to several MPs and Barry Gardiner of the Labor Party was paid 420,000.

Responding to the revelation, the Chinese embassy in London said that M 15 was harassing Chinese nationals in England.

” We do not need to buy Representatives of a foreign parliament and influence. We strongly condemn the allegations. “
