Cattle slaughter will be completely banned in Sri Lanka by next August

The government is taking steps to legalize a complete ban on cattle slaughter in the country by next August.

This program is being implemented on a idea made by the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The bill banning cattle slaughter has been completed and is due to be tabled in Parliament in the next two weeks.

Once passed, cattle slaughter will be banned in the country and those who violate it will be punished.
