Fire broke out at the Balongan refinery one of the country’s largest oil refineries run by state oil firm Pertamina today (March 29)
Firefighters in Indonesia are working to reduce the massive fire and five people are injured and around 950 residents have been evacuated to safety. But many were reported missing.
The media reported the fire still raging on today morning with a large smoke rising high above the refinery located in West Java province and cause of the fire remains unclear.
