Job Vacancy: Driver at the Right to Information Commission (RTIC) 2026
The Right to Information Commission (RTIC) of Sri Lanka, established under the Right to Information Act, No. 12 of 2016, is officially inviting applications for the position of Driver. This is a prestigious government opportunity for individuals seeking a stable career within a key statutory body located in Colombo 07.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualifications: Must have passed at least six (06) subjects at the G.C.E. O/L examination with at least two (02) credit passes in no more than two sittings.
- Professional Competency: Possession of a valid heavy vehicle driving license issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of three (03) years of experience in driving after obtaining the driving license.
- Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 45 years of age.
Salary and Benefits
Furthermore, the selected candidate will receive a salary based on the PL 3 – 2025 salary scale:
- Basic Salary: Rs. 43,280.00.
- Salary Increments: The scale progresses through structured annual increments up to a maximum of Rs. 67,040.00.
Recruitment Procedure
Initially, recruitment will be conducted through a Structured Interview process. Candidates will be evaluated based on the following marking scheme (Total 100 marks):
- Relevant additional experience: 20 Marks.
- Relevant additional educational qualifications: 20 Marks.
- Performance and skills shown during the interview: 60 Marks.
