Electricity and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera said that there will be a reduction in fuel prices from the first of August.

He said this while participating in a discussion on a television channel.

“After this, every month on the night of the 1st and 15th, the price will definitely be revised on these two days. Thus, we have a price revision again for the first day. Then, within that price revision, with the price of the market, we can see that the price is decreasing. Therefore, I think there will be some reduction in the next price revision as well.”
