He said that legal action will be taken regarding the damage caused to the concerned area and through that, they will be recovered. The minister also said that he informed the officials of the ministry to submit a complete assessment report regarding the damage caused to the area and advise him on the legal steps to be taken. He further said that if the compensation money is not collected, the ministry will have to face this problem in the future.

1500 dengue cases were reported in Sri Lanka in a week

According to the Ministry of Health, 1590 dengue cases have been reported in the last week. The National Dengue Control Unit stated that 50.8% of them were reported from the Western Province. The Ministry of Health also said that nearly 50,000 dengue cases have been reported so far this year.
