Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka-QR workers across the country are on strike, Fuel supply is in crisis

Development officials have decided to withdraw from the system of checking the National Fuel License Code (QR) at petrol stations.

The Association of Development Service Officers states that this step was taken in protest against the lack of attention given to the Ministry of Power and Energy regarding based only on the execution of this work and their resolution.

On the basis of a circular sent by the Ministry of Energy to the district divisional secretaries, development officers have been deployed as a method of checking the fuel codes of the filling stations.
