12 people who threatened and influenced the members of Parliament about voting in selecting president identified

12 people have been identified who threatened and influenced the members of Parliament during the voting for electing a President in the Parliament today.

The Criminal Investigation Department states that they have pressured and threatened these parliamentarians through social networks.

 Government has requested Facebook information from those people.

The CID has reported to the court that the group posted threatening comments on social media saying, “Don’t come to the village after voting Ranil’ .

 The police have reported to the court that among these people there are four people who are involved in the Galle face protest, Lahiru Wirasekera, Rathkarave Jinarathana Thero and Anuruddha Bandara.
