President Gotabaya Rajapaksa officially resigned from his position

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena officially announced that Gotabaya Rajapaksa has resigned from the presidency.

Accordingly, he mentioned that the parliament will be convened tomorrow for further action.
