Protesters also entered the private residence of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe last night and set it on fire.

Unofficial reports say that the Prime Minister’s wife was already in the house after her illness, but the Prime Minister was not in the house at that time.

The security forces tried hard to prevent the protesters from entering the house, and several injured journalists were hospitalized.
