Due to the delay of releasing dollars to fuel tankers arriving at the Port of Colombo The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Cepetco) has estimated that it will have to pay around the US $ 300,000 (about 60 million rupees) in delays.

At present, two ships carrying 80,000 tons (40,000 x 2) of diesel metric, one vessel containing 30,000 tons of jet fuel oil and 30,000 tons of petroleum metric have arrived in Sri Lankan waters.

A ship carrying a 40,000 metric
tonne diesel, which arrived in Sri Lankan waters on the 8th, and a ship carrying a 40,000 metric tonne diesel, which arrived on the 9th, have not started to unload as the dollars have not been released to the relevant banks.

However, the shipment of 30,000 metric tons of oil, which arrived on the 11th, began landing three days later on the 14th. However, the oil tanker that arrived on the 11th has not yet started unloading fuel.
