Janith Madushanka alias ‘Podi Lasi’, a powerful drug dealer has been further remanded.

The suspect was produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate today (21) on charges of drug trafficking along with officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau.

The CID stated before Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika Sri Ragala that he had committed an offence under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

However, Officials of the department have informed the court that information has come to light that the suspect has been invoffences drug trafficking and conspiracy as well as offenses under the Firearms Amendment Act.
