IGP of Sri Lanka appears in court

Evidence in the case filed against former IGP Pujith Jayasundara, who is accused of failing to take action to prevent a terrorist attack on Easter Sunday, was recorded today (29). IGP Chandana Wickramaratne appeared in court today to testify.

The case is being heard before a three-judge bench comprising Justices Namal Balalle, Aditya Patabendi and Mohamed Irshadeen.

 IGP Chandana Wickramaratne began recording evidence under the direction of Senior Deputy Solicitor General Dileep Peiris, who is representing the complainant.
