Former Director General of Archeology Senarath Dissanayake has stated that the land on which the Sandahiru Seya was built, which was offered to the Sasana on the 15th of this month, was forcibly approved by him.

He later told them not to build a stupa on the site and to build a smaller one.

He made these comments while participating in a discussion on an internet channel.
