The Ministry of Education says that some changes will be made in the preparation of question papers for future examinations due to the obstruction of schools due to the covid pandemic. That is only regarding the preparation of scholarship, Advanced Level and Ordinary Level question papers. Additional Secretary for School Affairs, Ministry of Education LMD Dharmasena said “Schools can not be closed..there is no way to close them. Examinations should be held. It has already been calculated in a circular that these subjects will be evaluated for the scholarship examination to be issued by the National Institute of Education in the future. I am also studying about the Ordinary Level and Advanced Level. We hope to make the children aware of the recommendations received from those committees. Not a relaxation. Budget proposals to reduce the cost of living pressure

There are several proposals in this year’s budget to ease the cost of living pressure. In addition to the current allocation of Rs. 4,000 million, Rs. 1,000 million has been allocated for this program. Meanwhile, Rs. 15,000 million has been allocated for the establishment of a Grama Niladhari Division level program to establish a network of small supermarkets for women entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, Rs. 31,000 million has been allocated for the Home Economic Security Program to transform the people into self-sufficient, nutritious and self-sufficient. Allocations of Rs. 1,000 million have been made to protect the elderly community and to facilitate those with special needs.
Myanmar sentences American journalist to jail for 11 years

Sri Lanka Cricket board intervenes in to LPL decision

In the recent selection process for the Sri Lanka Premier League teams, no team selected 10 players, including some of the best players in Sri Lanka. Leadership goes to Charith Asalanka

The West Indies are currently in Sri Lanka to take part in a Test series. A four-day training match with them starts tomorrow. Charith Asalanka has been named as the captain of the Sri Lanka Cricket President’s team participating in the tournament. The training match will be played at the SSC Stadium, Colombo.
