Serendib company has also decided to increase the price of wheat flour by Rs. 10 per kilo. They also say the price hike will take effect this morning.
With the government removing the control price imposed on wheat flour, the company is also setting price limits. Cement companies have also increased the price of a 50 kg bag of cement by Rs. 93.
Accordingly, the new price of a bag of cement will increase to Rs. 1098. However, the government states that the government will intervene if prices are increased unjustly.
