The United National Party (UNP) says that Champika Ranawaka, who has gone mad, is plotting to become President in 2025.

 Its chairman Sugath Hewapathirana points out that some priests in the Catholic Church are blind enough to accept Champika Ranawaka’s political word.

He also points out that a group of priests have become the political puppets of Champika Ranawaka.

He also said that the Archbishop who addressed the people of the country with a clear mind at the time of the Easter attack had not been able to act with the same clear mindset today.

He further said that today the Archbishop has become a hostage of Fr. Cyril Gamini and Fr. Rohan de Silva. He made these comments while addressing the media
