Current Travel Restrictions in Sri Lanka – People are crossing the provincial borders on foot

Although health guidelines state that travel between provinces is restricted, it is reported that many people get off buses at the provincial border and walk to other provinces.

According to the reports people from the Kegalle area in the Sabaragamuwa Province got off the bus at the provincial border, crossed the Ma Oya bridge and headed towards Polgahawela in the North Western Province.

News reported that they are the people who residents of the kegalle area who worked in the Kurunegala polgahawela and other North Western Province areas.

People who travel in this manner are also greatly distressed as they need to report for their duties on time.
