India’s hospital waste dumped on the Nagadeepa Island in Jaffna.

A large amount of hospital waste has been dumped on the southern coast of Nagadeepa Island in Jaffna, Fishermen and locals said.

Residents point out that there is a lot of waste in the hospital, including syringes, saline bottles, blood transfusions and medicine containers.

The residents of the area suspect that the hospital waste is not from the hospitals in the Jaffna district and that the waste from the hospitals in India has been dumped in the North Seas.

Meanwhile, the people of the area have taken steps to inform the officers of the Jaffna Fisheries Inspectorate and the health officials regarding the incident.
