Bail for Chairman of a local agency Express Pearl

C. Consortium Lanka Chairman Arjuna Hettiarachchi has been arrested by the CID this afternoon (June 16) and released on bail after being produced in court. Arjuna Hettiarachchi was arrested this morning after surrendering to the CID through his lawyers and was produced before Colombo High Court Judge Damith Thotawatte. The suspect was released on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 and two sureties of Rs. 1 million each and one of the two hostages was also ordered not to be a close relative of the suspect. The judge ordered that the suspect’s passport be handed over to the court and that his travel ban be imposed, the Controller of Immigration and Emigration, as well as airports and all ports, be notified of the order.

60 parliamentarians will join with Ranil Wikramasinghe

Former UNP member arrested with illegal liquor
